Our Never-Ending Childhood, and Where to Embrace It

One of the clearest generational differences that exist today is that those in their 20s and 30s don’t really want to grow up particularly quickly. Some see it as laziness, others as a desire to embrace curiosity and adventure, but the shunning of conventional adulthood is everywhere.

The craving for activities and fun that doesn’t necessarily manifest itself in drinking, clubbing, or going to concerts – some more standard outgoing fare – has results in a boon of excursion that are on surface rather childlike.

I explored this way of thinking and all the outlets for such games and activities that are available today.

Also, I know this post has nothing to do with Community, but I’m hard-pressed to think of a better, more current representation of people who are stuck, don’t want to grow up, and find playfulness everywhere. Plus I miss it.
