Documentary Reviews: The Central Park Five, The House I Live In, The Waiting Room

The Central Park Five

I am fortunate to live in a big city where every film makes at least a brief stop. The Bloor Hot Docs theatre shows the best in documentaries, affording an opportunity to many to see films that might be harder to experience elsewhere in the country. Illuminating, funny, tragic, and powerful, here a few recent releases worth checking out, featuring among others, the documentarian Ken Burns (The Central Park Five), journalist and Wire creator David Simon (The House I Live In), and the talented actor Bill Pullman (Fruit Hunters). Of course Bill Pullman is a fruit hunter, makes perfect sense.
