Movie Reviews: The Expendables 2, Timothy Green, Sparkle, ParaNorman (with Interview)

We are entering the dead of August, where usually movies go to be forgotten forever. Somehow though, this weekend has a couple of very worthy releases, including the consummate action movie and one very captivating stop-motion animation film.

And then, of course, there is one awful mess of a film that would be worthy to see just to make fun of it, were you not paying for it. So here there is, a few movies of which to learn about, from what I think is a very funny one-star review to a four and a half star review of one of my favourite movies of the year.

As well, I was very fortunate to have the chance to chat with the directors of ParaNorman, Chris Butler and Sam Fell, about animation, realism, and being a child.

Please check out the entire reviews at Scene Creek.
