Seeing a live show when you know little or nothing about a band is sometimes more enjoyable than when you know so much. I listened briefly to a song by Hands & Teeth before deciding to see them during Canadian, but that momentary sound, in addition to the trust I have in their label, Audioblood, was more than enough to get to the show.
That is not to say I wasn’t prepared, but I wanted to come in clean as those opportunities don’t always present themselves. They did not disappoint, and indeed I learned much about them by their live performance that one wouldn’t necessarily see or feel from listening to them on a recorded album….
