Movie Review: Friends With Kids

With clear connections to last year’s Bridesmaids and last decade’s Kissing Jessica Stein, Friends with Kids is a smart, funny, and very adult look at conventional and unconventional relationships. Featuring a fantastic cast, Jennifer Westfeldt — director, writer, star (and wife of co-star Jon Hamm) — delivers an interesting and worthy film about the nature of marriage and having children, filled with plenty of laughs. It is thoroughly enjoyable, and carries with it an air of sophistication and maturity while still being poignant and at times simply hysterical. Plus the cast is just so charming and attractive.
