Movie Review: Project X

The problem with Project X, a documentary style piece of film making starring three young unknowns, is not that it tries hard and fails to be Superbad, which it does, or that the leads are unlikeable and misogynistic, which they are, but that the film is ostensibly about a party where you can’t drink and dance. There is nothing fun about it, except for some occasional acts of stupidity, and nothing to take away.

Side note: At the promotional screening I attended, the theatre had a live DJ playing exceptionally loud music, which is a great way to get people in the audience to thoroughly despise you and your movie.
