Movie Review: Act of Valor

It is hard to describe the type of movie Act of Valor exactly is. Part documentary, part promotional, part action, part drama, and part video game, it is the first movie I know that stars real life soldiers to play soldiers–in this case Navy SEALs, and the first movie I that uses real bullets, real tactics, and real situations from the battlefield. They are soldiers, they are not actors, and it shows. But when the fighting starts, and they sneak into a jungle camp to rescue a hostage, the following 20 minutes are awe-inspiring. If a film is worth talking about, it is worth seeing, and this film offers much to discuss.
