Movie Review: Haywire

Steven Soderbergh is simply a beautiful filmmaker. Every scene is shot to capture light, beauty, energy, and to elicit pleasurable emotions. He adds the right amount of music, and to the picture he brings an incredibly talented cast and lets them have at it. His recent films, and Haywire in particularly, are not pretending to be realistic, and may be a bit snobbish at times, but are simply and wholly satisfying. You know you are watching a movie, and Soderbergh is asking you to sit back and enjoy. Haywire is in a word beautiful: the actors, the acting the pacing, the lighting, the music, and even the violence and fighting are all beautiful.

I attempted to expand on his slightly silly yet awe-inspiring film with my review at Scene Creek.
