Matthew Good is compelling artist. His vast musical achievements and place in Canadian rock history has been complemented by health complications and sordid public entanglements. His voice is distinct, his music powerful, and his attitude varied. I had seen him many years ago at one of his heights, following the release of Beautiful Midnight, and then later after his first solo album Avalanche. I returned to see him yet again, and was surprised and awed by one more incredible live performance.
